Hi, I’m Doretha Lewis, MA, NCC, founder of Geneva Tutoring Prep.

I created Geneva Tutoring Prep because I know how overwhelming counseling exam prep can feel, especially when it seems like you’re expected to somehow organize 47 theorists, ethics, assessments, career theories, research, and clinical application… all while trying not to lose your mind.

With over 5 years of experience supporting counseling students and graduates, my goal has always been to help students move from confusion and overwhelm to clarity, confidence, and strategy.

I’m passionate about helping students make sense of difficult material, understand why concepts matter, and learn how to approach exam questions with more structure and less panic. Because sometimes the biggest challenge isn’t ability, it’s knowing how to approach the material in a way that feels clear, manageable, and effective, which gives you a sense of relief.

Geneva Tutoring Prep has become a trusted support resource for students preparing for the NCE, CPCE, and NCMHCE, including students referred by Dr. Howard Rosenthal.

At the heart of it all, I want students to feel supported, capable, and far less alone in the process.
